What Are Smile/Sad Lines?
Nasolabial folds or smile lines are lines that form from the sides of the nose to the corner of the mouth. As they are associated with smiling where the lines form, factors such as ageing can cause the lines to become deeper and permanent.
Also known as Marionette lines, these refer to the facial creases extending downward from the corners of the mouth, giving the appearance of sadness or unhappiness. Symptoms of marionette lines include not just prominent downward lines from the mouth but also dry and dull-looking skin, along with a reduction in skin elasticity and firmness.
