Moles, also known as nevi, are common skin growths that can appear anywhere on the body. They form when melanocytes, the pigment-producing cells, grow in clusters. Most moles are harmless and can appear anywhere on the skin.
Characteristics of Moles
Colour: Moles can be brown, black, pink, red, or even skin-coloured.
Shape: They can be round, oval, or irregular in shape.
Size: Moles can be as small as a pinhead or larger than a pencil eraser.
Texture: They may be flat or raised, smooth or rough, and some may have hair growing from them.
